LADY M

A RADICAL RETELLING OF MACBETH

Behind the mask,

Between the lines,

Beneath the reputation...

LADY M is a one-woman journey into the mind of Shakespeare's "fiend-like queen".

When a letter arrives from her husband promising a life of greatness, Lady M believes she’s found the answer to all her problems. But with murder, men, and her own mind to contend with, her future begins to unravel, and the present becomes imprisoned in a past that refuses to die.

Created by The Working Action Group, this psychological portrait of Lady Macbeth combines classical text with bold new writing, outrageous humour, and playful physical storytelling, casting new light on Shakespeare's darkest tragedy.
