The Working Action Group develops research-based training, creative tools, and original performances that explore psychology through theatre.

Our three current strands are closely linked, sharing a foundation in psychological flexibility and a commitment to theatre as a space for self-discovery—for actors and for audiences.

ACT for Acting

A practical training platform that introduces actors to psychological flexibility through Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT).

The Role-Model Framework

A psychologically informed structure for character analysis and actor training—integrating ACT with IFS, CAT, Narrative, and Systemic approaches.

Psyched-Up Shakespeare

A creative research and performance project using Shakespeare’s characters and stories to engage audiences with psychology, emotion, and human complexity.
